Peak concurrent connections (PCC)
PCC measures the peak number of concurrent TCP long-lived connections to Agora Chat servers in a calendar month. This value is typically different from your DAU or MAU. If a user (with one UID or UUID) logs into Agora Chat from multiple devices, they count as one MAU but multiple PCCs—one per device.
PCC overage fee
Agora calculates the total number of PCCs and MAUs across all your projects at the end of each billing cycle, which ends on the last day of each calendar month. If your usage exceeds the included limits, an overage fee may apply.
By default, paid Agora Chat packages include a free PCC allowance equal to 10% of your total MAU.
An overage fee of $5 per additional PCC is charged when the free threshold (10% of MAU) is exceeded.
Exceeding the 10% PCC limit does not affect end users or disrupt services, because Agora meters PCC only at the end of each billing cycle.
Starter, Pro, and Enterprise package subscribers are entitled to at least 500, 1K, and 1K free PCCs per month, respectively. For example, if a Starter subscriber has 1,000 MAUs and 500 PCCs in a given month, no overage fee is charged.
