How much time do I have to migrate?
You have a full 12 months from July 15, 2025 to July 15, 2026. This provides ample time for planning, testing, and executing your migration at a pace that works with your development cycles.
Will the current Signaling 1.x service be affected during the transition?
No. Your Signaling 1.x service will continue operating normally with full SLA support, bug fixes, and escalation handling throughout the entire 12-month transition period.
Technical questions
Are all Signaling 1.x features available in 2.x?
Yes, Signaling 2.x has achieved complete feature parity with 1.x and offers additional enhanced capabilities including improved performance, better reliability, advanced analytics, and modern developer tools.
How complex is the migration process?
Agora provides migration documentation to make this process as smooth as possible. Most customers can complete migration with minimal or medium code changes. Our support team provides technical assistance throughout the process.

Will there be any service interruption during migration?
No, you can run both platforms in parallel during your migration testing phase. The switch-over to Signaling 2.x can be planned and executed at your convenience within the 12-month window.

You'll receive:

After July 14, 2026, Signaling 1.x will reach End-of-Life, meaning no further bug fixes or maintenance will be provided. We strongly recommend completing your migration well before this date to ensure uninterrupted service.

How will pricing change with Signaling 2.x?
Signaling 2.x offers flexible packaging options including both prepaid and pay-as-you-go models designed to accommodate different customer segments. Your account manager will work with you to identify the most suitable package based on your usage patterns and requirements.
